From the moment he was born, Caleb Joseph Regenski became the love of my life. As soon as I laid eyes on him, I thought he was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. Caleb made everyone he met fall in love with him. He had a twinkle in his eyes, the most infectious laugh, and an amazing smile that will never be forgotten. Caleb had this wonderful way about him. He was the most energetic & loving little boy and he was curious about everything!
Caleb could keep himself entertained for hours with his sheens (excavators), cardees (cars), and of course, Mr. Bear, his beloved stuffed animal. He loved puzzles & books and anything that had wheels on it. Watching him dance and sing to his favorite songs made everyone smile. Caleb loved with his whole heart and he had an amazing spirit that will never be replaced.
My sweet little Caleb was granted his angel wings on February 25th, 2007. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends he had touched in many ways during his brief, yet very memorable life.
With Caleb’s passing, I remind myself and others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although I miss him every day, especially his infectious smile, I feel extremely blessed to have had Caleb in my life and he will forever remain in my heart. Starting this foundation was my way of honoring his memory and keeping his beautiful spirit alive. I hope he can look down with pride on all we are trying to accomplish for families in need.
